Summary of the contract
Kitchen and Bathroom Works under the Decent Homes Programme.
This is an opportunity for a contract for the refurbishment of kitchens
and bathrooms in occupied dwellings under a planned works contract for
works to around 300 properties per year for the next three years in
Wokingham and surrounding areas.
The contract requirement will include contacting tenants to make access
arrangements, liaising with tenants and the Council over the layout of the
kitchen and bathroom and ensuring completion of the works in a timely
fashion. The work will include removal of existing fitments and fittings,
installation of new, redecorating and laying floor coverings. It will also
include providing new electrical installations to a schedule in some
cases.
The Council has selected a supplier of kitchen units through a framework
agreement which has been procured through a fully OJEU compliant process
and the Contractor shall be required to source the kitchen units and
accessories through this supplier.
This Tender is separate to the catch up works programme recently tendered
as a ‘small lot’.
