Description of the contract
Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a building contractor to refurbish and transform an existing flat floor seminar room (A23) within the Management School into a ‘Bloomberg Room’. A ‘Bloomberg Room’ provides up to 24no students with a mock financial trading floor and gives them the opportunity to learn how to use computer facilities and the associated software which is traditionally used in financial, banking and related markets. Each computer terminal will be supplied with 4no screens. A teaching wall will be installed at the north end of the room. The room is to become a show case facility within the Management School and access to the room is required to be improved. The room will be given an improved presence on the main thoroughfare through the building by inserting a new door and vision panels. Due to the output of the computer equipment, mechanical ventilation will require to be installed.
