Helping to keep flying feet grounded – Plastic Extruders Matting

Tuff Spun Plus anti-fatigue matting, from Plastic Extruders Ltd, is highlighting trip hazards and providing comfort underfoot at Anglo Normandy Aeroengineering in Guernsey.

Anglo Normandy Aeroengineering is an aircraft maintenance and repair facility which provides services to private and air taxi operators. Due to the large areas of open space resulting in longs runs of power and compressor cables, the company needed to find a matting for laying over them to prevent tripping. This would not only minimise risks but also provide comfort for technicians standing for long periods on the concrete floor.

The solution was to install Tuff Spun Plus, a good value matting designed to reduce standing fatigue and provide some slip resistance. The yellow edging also delineates safety areas and walkways. Tuff Spun Plus is a single composition of closed cell PVC foam with a ribbed slip resistant surface for light duty use.

The matting is 91cm wide and available in 18m long rolls or in the three module sizes of 60 x 91cm, 150 x 91cm and 300 x 91cm. All rolls and modules are supplied with sealed bevelled edges as standard to reduce tripping.
