Key points

  • Private non-financial corporations’ net rate of return was estimated at 12.7 per cent in quarter two 2012, lower than the revised estimate of 12.9 per cent in the previous quarter
  • Manufacturing companies’ net rate of return was estimated at 4.9 per cent in quarter two 2012, unchanged from the estimated rate of return for the previous quarter
  • Service companies’ net rate of return was estimated at 15.8 per cent in quarter two 2012, higher than the estimate of 15.7 per cent in the previous quarter
  • UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) companies’ net rate of return was 36.5 per cent in quarter two 2012, lower than the revised estimate of 43.0 per cent in the previous quarter
  • Non-UKCS companies’ net rate of return was 11.8 per cent in quarter two 2012, higher than the revised estimate of 11.7 per cent in the previous quarter
