Description of the contract

The University proposes to refurbish their existing Graduate College ground floor premises (Ennerdale Building) on campus to form a newly refurbished kitchen; games room and study area with a new build single storey extension to accommodate further study and presentation use. There is also associated external landscape works and as part of the tender the separately located PC Lab refurbishment (Phase 3 Devoke Building) is to be priced. As detailed in Section 6 and 7 of the tender documents, the PC labs are to be clearly priced and identified separately from (Phases 1 and 2). This is because the Client may wish to carry out Phase 3 of the works in house. The current proposal is these works will be undertaken in three sections (Phases) as follows: Section 1 (Phase 1) – Graduate College – Refurbishment and New Build (as indicated on phasing drawing) Section 2 (Phase 2) – Graduate College – Refurbishment (as Indicated on phasing drawing) Section 3 (Phase 3) – PC Labs – Refurbishment This tender invites the bidders to submit tenders for appointment as the building contractor for the Project. PLEASE NOTE A SITE VISIT DAY HAS BEEN ARRANGED FOR THURSDAY 5TH FEBRUARY AT 2pm, the meeting point will be the entrance to Ennerdale House.
