Ora ïto chooses Stepevi’s Pixel Rose collection for the interior design of Yooma Hotel
When award-winning French designer, Ora ïto, imagined the interior concept of the Yooma Hotel in Paris, the design prodigy chose Stepevi to provide luxurious rugs in the reception area.
All the rugs, from Stepevi’s iconic Pixel Rose collection, were made in Turkey and delivered in March 2017, three weeks after the order was placed.
Hand-tufted in 100% hard-wearing wool, the rugs are suitable for high traffic public spaces such as a hotel lobby while creating oversized statement pieces that cover a surface area in total of 82.47m2.
Featuring a bar and lounge area, the vast reception has been conceived as a living space together with an art gallery showcasing temporary exhibitions as well as a new media display.
Stepevi suggested its pixelated rugs for this particular area as the patterns and colour palette work perfectly with Ora ïto’s design scheme.
Located in Paris’ 15th arrondissement, Yooma Hotel was designed by Ora ïto in collaboration with French conceptual artist Daniel Buren to fit with the Beaugrenelle district’s ‘70s-style architecture.
A cinematographic landscape of aluminium and concrete (Wim Wenders, Michel Gondry, Henri Verneuil and Claude Lelouch have filmed there), offers the perfect setting for this unique hotel.
