New lock-together flooring solution from Gerflor

Seamless locking and loose-lay fitting are key features of Gerflor’s new environmentally-sustainable, Senso Lock range of wood-effect, vinyl laminate plank flooring for residential housing.

Lock and click system floorings are the new, straightforward and glue-less way of installing a wood plank flooring. By interlocking securely on both sides and forming a moisture-resistant seal surround, they offer new solutions to flooring specifiers for home environments, especially for kitchen and bathroom applications.

Senso Lock is an addition to Gerflor’s portfolio of loose-lay flooring innovations. It uses Unilin’s patented, proven and glue-less locking mechanism that does away with the need for adhesive, nails and other general fitting tools, other than a steel rule, cutter and tape measure.  Senso Lock therefore facilitates far quicker and less costly fitting than adhered floorings, with installation over most even, existing floorings and concrete subfloors made possible.

Provided they are smooth, clean, hard and dry, existing floorings do not need to be lifted before fitting Senso Lock, making it an ideal product for renovation. By creating a ‘floating’ floor, which sits securely over the surface beneath, it is also easily lifted for subsequent re-decoration and renovation purposes, plus it will not be adversely affected by glue degradation.

Senso Lock is a resilient, vinyl laminate plank flooring with many practical advantages over its wood and wood laminate counterparts. It is 4mm thick, has a 0.3mm wear layer, a 12 year product guarantee and is available in eight attractive wood designs with realistic effects. It is also impact and water resistant, easy to maintain and will stay looking good by simply mopping clean with soapy water.

From an eco-perspective, Senso Lock installs without solvent, is 100% recyclable and manufactured according to Gerflor’s eco-friendly policy at its ISO 14001 certified production sites without pollutants or hazardous contents such as lead, formaldehyde and harmful plasticisers.  Gerflor flooring products are also amongst those with the lowest VOC emissions world-wide.
