Euro Car Parts, the UK’s leading distributor of parts for all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles, has reported an increase in demand for Milwaukee power tools as Milwaukee Yamaha rider Josh Brookes finished the season strongly to win the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship.

Brookes won the opening race at Brands Hatch on Saturday 17 October to become the first Australian since Troy Bayliss in 1999 to win the BSB Championship. He came out on top in a race-long battle with title rival Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne, and went on to cement his victory by narrowly beating Byrne again in Race Two.

Martin Gray, chief executive officer (CEO) of Euro Car Parts, said: “Congratulations to Josh Brookes, team manager Mick Shanley and all at Milwaukee Yamaha. As team sponsor we are delighted to be associated with this fantastic victory. Josh’s performances have certainly helped to increase awareness of the Milwaukee brand and we have seen a significant uplift in Milwaukee power tool sales, particularly from July onwards when he started his incredible run of back-to-back race wins. The BSB Championship continues to serve up thrilling action and this year has proved a complete win-win for us.”

Formula 2 stock car star Sean Smith, of Reliance Auto Test in High Wycombe, recently tested Milwaukee’s HD18 HIW32 impact gun. “When working trackside, having power to hand is vital,” he said. “The HD18 HIW32 could handle every job we threw at it with ease – from wheel nuts to suspension joints, chassis sections to alternator bolts. We even dropped it in a puddle and it still worked!”
