Havwoods International – A cut above the rest
Men’s grooming is one of the UK economy’s major growth areas; as are coffee shops, which are predicted to become the new local and outnumber pubs by 2030.
So Tabard Street barber Dasos Anastasis decided his second venture in SE1 would have a twist.
In order to best capture the large numbers of successful professionals and businessmen working in the area, his concept was to fuse together a high end barbering experience with an artisan style coffee shop, all under the same roof.
With their wealth of experience in salon design, Reis Design was recommended to breath life into the plan and, based around the idea of a ‘men’s workshop’, developed an industrial store concept to convey the craftsmanship of Cutter’s Yard’s highly skilled barbers.
To complete the ethos, Reis recommended plant- power cosmetics company Aveda as a product partner.
Quite separately, however, Havwoods International had been recommended to Dasos so, together with his business partner, he visited our Clerkenwell showroom to choose the flooring personally.
Unable to decide between two shades, they put together this striking mixed product design using herringbone from The Italian Collection.
Dasos has since returned to Clerkenwell and chosen a new floor for his original shop. Meanwhile, plans are underway for a Cutter’s Yard salon to open at London Bridge Station in January 2018.
