Architectural FreeSCALE style from Vorwerk
Striking shaped carpet tiles from the FreeSCALE concept by Hadi Teherani for Vorwerk Carpets now create a bold style statement in the public areas of the KPMG offices in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Specified by Russian architecture practice ARKAIM М and supplied by Vorwerk’s official Russian partner, Smart Company, 120m2 of FreeSCALE Partition tiles deliver an arresting look in the auditor’s coffee hall, corridors and reception. In contrasting colours from the GreySCALE neutral collection, the tiles are paired to perfection with the sleek office furniture and high-gloss wall surfaces.
“We had a very open brief, but we knew that we wanted an up-to-the-minute, intriguing floorcovering that had that instant wow-factor for the KPMG offices,” explains Pavel Kravchenko of ARKAIM M architect practice. “The FreeSCALE concept was the ideal solution, delivering an innovative and truly individual look that breaks usual carpet conventions.
“The arrangement and style of FreeSCALE tiles fitted the space perfectly, and the colourway suits the KPMG brand down to a tee. This was the first project where we had the opportunity to use FreeSCALE tiles, and thanks to their visually striking look, we are sure that it won’t be the last.”
Designed by renowned architect Hadi Teherani, FreeSCALE reinvents the traditional carpet tile to allow architects and designers to extend and reflect their exterior architecture, opening up new horizons for creativity and mirroring the limitless bounds of modern design.
In a choice of three unusual geometric shapes, Crystal, Mesh and Partition, FreeSCALE tiles have a tufted textile construction and are available three different textures, Arena, Forma and Frisco. In timeless and inspiring colourways that will never date, FreeSCALE is the ideal floorcovering for cutting-edge interior projects.
