A leading expert on energy reduction in building projects is to share his experience at the first CoRE breakfast event.
Chris Broadbent, Director of BRE training, will speak at the national Centre of Refurbishment Excellence on Tuesday, 24 July.
He will give attendees an insight into the Government’s Green Deal and will focus on the training of Green Deal Advisors and the certification process.
The event is open to current CoRE members and representatives of companies looking to become members at CoRE.
Jonathan Davis, Chief Executive of CoRE, said: “Chris Broadbent has vast experience in the construction industry and heads a team delivering the BRE Global Accreditation Scheme for Energy Assessors.
“His talk offers a fabulous opportunity for anyone involved in construction projects to improve their knowledge of the Green Deal at the same time as networking with others in the industry.
“CoRE will unveil its 2012/2013 events programme and delegates will be able to gain an insight into CoRE and how we are working to reskill the workforce and showcase innovation in the construction sector.”
CoRE, situated in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, is leading the way in up-skilling the construction and allied trades to meet the challenge to improve the UK’s housing stock and meet the higher environmental standards being introduced by Governments across the world.
CoRE, developed through a partnership involving BRE, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Stoke on Trent College, receives support through the European Regional Development Fund.
