Summary of the contract
The Scottish National Gallery – Appointment of Quantity Surveyor.
National Galleries of Scotland intend to redevelop the Scottish Galleries
at the Scottish National Gallery at the Mound and wish to procure a
suitably qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor. The £9m project
involves the reconfiguration of the existing 1978 basement extension to
improve and enlarge the presentation of the Scottish Collection to the
general public as well as improving access to and within the space. The
project will also include improvements to access between the Mound
precinct and the Weston Link entrance in Princes Street Gardens.
The project will be the subject of an application to Heritage Lottery
Fund.
The appointment of an Architect-lead Design Team and an Exhibition
Designer will be the subject of separate procurement processes.
