FN Neuhofer sets off a fireworks display of innovations at DOMOTEX 2026!
With over 300 square meters, FN Neuhofer had one of the largest exhibition stands at DOMOTEX 2026, deliberately seeking to demonstrate its size. More than €40 million was invested in new plants, products, and technologies last year. Groundbreaking innovations have been created – eagerly awaited by the industry. Hanover’s leading international exhibition for flooring and interior design provided the perfect setting for the FN Neuhofer Big Bang 2026.
The absolute highlight: the new FN XTRU-pro punchable core skirting board. With its new extrusion plant in Pöndorf, near its headquarters in Zell am Moos, FN Neuhofer heralded the era of in-house production of extruded core skirting boards at the end of November. The special feature of this skirting board is that it can be punched, which saves a lot of time during processing and at the same time ensures precise processing quality. Inside is a stable MDF core, fully coated with polypropylene. During punching, the extruded PP film remains completely intact. The result: clean, closed corners – for optimum protection. At the FN Neuhofer trade fair stand, massive punching tables were used to punch all day long. Here, the numerous visitors were able to experience live how easy, fast, and clean the processing is. Without noise, dirt, or time expenditure! Accordingly, there was a rush around the punching tables.
What makes FN XTRU-pro so special
The soft sealing lips ensure a perfect connection to the wall and floor and guarantee reliable protection against moisture and dust. “This makes our core skirting board suitable for use in bathrooms and kitchens. The waterproof version is the safest option, with sealed cut edges making it the best solution for damp rooms,” emphasizes Mihaly Bakti from Neuhofer Application Technology. Unique on the market to date is the fireproof version with a fire-retardant surface and core – safety, stability, and style. Also new and a real innovation: the 2-in-1 application. The core skirting board from FN Neuhofer can be rotated and thus used either cubically or chamfered. “To ensure first-class quality, we recommend installation with our perfectly coordinated Neuhofer tool system, consisting of a punch and hot glue gun,” says Bakti.
Simply WOW!
One area of the exhibition stand was entirely dedicated to the core skirting board. Connected by a carpet, visitors could access the opposite area, which showcased all of FN Neuhofer’s bestsellers and classics. Even from a distance, the large-format image of the FN XTRU-pro innovation was eye-catching, and a huge screen immersed visitors directly into the family-owned company’s image film. Other new products, such as the FN para-fix room divider with fixed and movable slats, were cleverly integrated into the stand concept. This allowed visitors to get up close and personal with the new FN digi-felt felt panels, which adorned an entire wall.
Conclusion: Inspiration, enthusiasm, and lessons learned
“Four intense days full of discussions, ideas, and encounters are behind us, and we were once again able to show what we can do and what we are working on—but more importantly, we inspired, enthused, and learned new things.
