Special offers for Britain’s best builders

Britain’s best builders can take advantage of three special offers from the Federation of Master Builders. Each can receive, free, a top-quality 22” Draper Supercut handsaw just for meeting their local FMB representative by the end of October. Then, if they apply for FMB membership by October 31st, they can save 50% on inspection costs. If their application succeeds, they will also receive one year’s free membership of the government-backed TrustMark scheme.
The FMB, promoting quality standards in building since 1941, insists that all prospective members have to undergo independent inspection of their work.
Marc Redshaw, of FMB member Miller Redshaw, said, “Only the FMB insists that builders pass a thorough inspection in order to join. Then, we have to abide by the FMB Code of Practice during every job. It means that customers can choose FMB members with confidence and full protection is available from a Build Assure warranty on the work.”
Trish Nuttall of Jo Simon Construction, said, “Being able to show the FMB badge of quality means reassuring customers, but it is just as good for the builder. Apart from the increased credibility and the job leads from the FMB Find A Builder service, there is a vast range of support services for members. Any good builder, who cares about the quality of their work, really ought to apply for FMB membership.”
Brian Berry, FMB Chief Executive, said, “Our regional representatives are always ready to meet good builders and answer their questions about the Federation of Master Builders. As an incentive, a builder can have a free 22” Draper Supercut handsaw just for turning up to find out why the FMB is good for builders and their customers. If they apply, we will halve the cost of the compulsory inspection visit and, once they are accepted, we will even give them a year’s free TrustMark membership.
All a builder has to do is apply at www.fmb.org.uk/apply or call 08000 965 765 during normal working hours.”
