Rileys Aberdeen sporting a new look with isafe flooring

Itec Contract Floor has helped to create a fresh new look at Rileys Sports Bar & Bingo Club in Aberdeen with some 400m2 of isafe flooring delivering clean, minimalist style along with increased safety with R11 and 36+ slip resistance ratings in both wet and dry conditions.

Selected from the isafe One collection, the dusky hue of Ink 599 flooring now stretches through the bar and pool table areas of Riley’s, helping to create an atmospheric look in the venue and seamlessly complimenting the bright tones of the furniture and feature lighting. Featuring subtle mineral detailing, Ink 599 offers high style and an attractive finish inspired by architectural materials whilst simultaneously delivering premium quality and non-slip functionality.

Lisa Bardell, Bar Manager for Riley’s explains; “This project was a total refurbishment. The old floor was lifting and needed totally replacing, and at the same time we also wanted give the bar a revamp with a totally fresh look. We needed a floor that was durable, easy to maintain and also provided a fresh, smooth finish. The floor also needed to satisfy health and safety requirements for public areas to minimise the risk of slips, trips and falls.”

Being ideal for intensive uses in commercial settings, isafe flooring achieves a low slip potential rating when assessed using the stringent HSE and UKSRG guidelines, making it suitable to reduce the risk of slips and falls in in public areas prone to spillages such as Riley’s Sports Bar. With a 0.7mm Hyperguard+ PUR wearlayer treatment providing tough protection, the isafe One collection has a Class 34 and Class 43 rating, guaranteeing years of durability and slip resistance properties delivered consistently throughout the lifespan of the floor.

For a continuous, unbroken look over the wide surface area of Riley’s, the isafe floor was cold welded using Invisiweld technology to produce almost imperceptible joints that are watertight and in some cases stronger than conventional techniques. With the isafe flooring available in two and four metre widths, material wastage is minimised, paving the way for rapid and stress-free installation with reduced costs.

Lisa Bardell continues, “We are very happy with the finished look and at the ease with which the new floor can be cleaned and maintained, no matter how busy the day or night at Riley’s has been.”
