NSCC Seeks Fair Payment Champions

The NSCC Fair Payment Campaign will be celebrating its 5-year anniversary in September 2012 and NSCC is looking to recognise those individuals that have made a difference to payment practices in their businesses or the construction industry as a whole.

Despite the impact of the recession, the Fair Payment Campaign has enjoyed significant success since its launch in 2007, highlighting the benefits of fair payment and transforming the business environment for the supply chain. This has been made possible by the commitment and support of a wide range of individuals who deserve to be recognised as Fair Payment Champions. Whether they have led the way in changing policy, introduced 30 day payment terms or eliminated retentions within their own company, NSCC wants to hear about them.

Nominations are invited from anyone in the industry so help NSCC to identify all those worthy of the title of Fair Payment Champion by submitting the form at www.fairpaymentcampaign.co.uk. The Fair Payment Champions will be announced in September and invited to join NSCC at the 2012 NSCC Annual Lunch on Wednesday 21 November at the prestigious Institute of Directors in London.

NSCC Chief Executive Suzannah Nichol MBE said:

“This is an excellent opportunity to recognise and reward those individuals that have helped to highlight the importance of fair payment within the supply chain. Changing custom and practice is never easy and the achievements of the Fair Payment Campaign to date are down to the efforts of ’champions’ who have proved that by working together we can make a difference.”

The Fair Payment Campaign has recently been short-listed for the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards in the Sector Representation category and the winners will be announced at the TAF Best Practice Awards on Thursday 28 June at the Plaisterers Hall in London.
