John Lord Training Keeps Us Top of the Class

Apprentices Learn About Substrate Preparation

Here at John Lord Specialist Flooring we recognise that training is very important to maintaining the exceptionally high standards of our businesses and for the growth of our company in the future.

Our in house training plans supplemented with training courses provided by the Resin Flooring Association (FeRFA) and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) ensures that our personnel have all the latest knowledge and skills required.

Training programmes include:

  • Health and Safety Courses
  • Trainee Screeder Programmes
  • Foreman Training Programmes
  • Management Courses
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
  • National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) from levels 2 to 6
  • Site Supervisors Safety Certificate (SSSC)

We also look for future champions of our business with our Apprenticeship Scheme.

The current John Lord resin flooring apprentices; Will Abbott, Matthew Singleton, Tim Steadman and Charlie Stephenson, joined other members of the FeRFA apprenticeship scheme recently for a two day training course on the methods and equipment used to suitably prepare and profile a substrate prior to the laying of resin flooring.

This course was presented by John Glew at the Preparation Group’s training facility in Lincoln.
