The IVC Group is continuing to establish itself as a force to be reckoned with following the recent announcement that the company has finalised the acquisition of Trinterio, including the Balterio laminate flooring division and MDF panel manufacturer Spanolux. This achievement means that the IVC Group is well on its way to becoming a global smooth and hard flooring player, with manufacturing ability now in the cushion flooring, LVT and laminate product categories.
“This latest news from the IVC Group cements our ambition to become the leading manufacturer in the smooth flooring category,” comments Jan Vergote, CEO, IVC Group. “Balterio joins our already very successful residential and commercial lines, and we are committed to running it as an independent division to ensure diversification and to preserve its unique appeal.”
Indeed, Balterio joins the popular residential cushion flooring collections Leoline and Avenue, the luxury vinyl tile brand Moduleo and the commercial resilient flooring ranges under the Itec Contract Floors brand, allowing the IVC Group to expand into completely different product lines and to therefore reach out to a larger market.
“We have cemented our reputation as one of the market-leading manufacturers in the cushion, LVT and resilient floor markets, and now it seems only natural for us to expand into new territories. Complementing our existing ranges as well as representing a great new opportunity, we will invest in Balterio to ensure it remains just as competitive,” concludes Jan Vergote.
This acquisition brings the total turnover of the IVC Group to 530 million Euros.
