Interface Sponsors first pan-Europeon Virtual Trade Show 14th-15th May

Global carpet tile manufacturer, Interface, will be encouraging visitors to the Construction21EXPO to view the latest sustainable innovations and possibilities, while experiencing the greenest building exhibition ever.
The event, which is the first virtual tradeshow for sustainable construction for Europe, is open between 14th-15th May 2014, and gives architects, designers, consultants and project managers the chance to network and browse industry leading green building solutions, without the environmental impact created by traditional exhibitions.

By eliminating the need for travel and materials used to construct exhibition stands, Construction21EXPO will host a truly sustainable event. Attendees can navigate the virtual exhibition using an online platform that allows them to visit exhibitor booths, speaking events and conferences, as well as engage with other attendees from all over Europe through a chat function or via Skype, without having to travel the usual hundreds of miles.

As an early adopter of the event, the flooring manufacturer will exhibit its latest products and services, as well as share the learnings from its ‘New Industrial Model’ report; independent research that identifies the business benefit of sustainable practices.
Ramon Arratia, sustainability director at Interface, will be hosting a discussion on sustainable trends in interior and exterior design at 16.00 CET on May 14th, and will comment on the results of an online poll conducted by Interface into the industry’s top trends. There will also be a webinar available throughout the event featuring Melissa Vernon, director of sustainability strategy at Interface Americas, discussing LEED v4.

Ramon commented: “Interface continues to push boundaries when it comes to reducing the environmental impact of its processes, and as such, we are really pleased to have the chance to support a virtual exhibition that could change the landscape of events in the construction industry. It’s encouraging to see developments such as this virtual exhibition in our industry, as it represents the beginning of a collective approach to sustainability.”
