Interface pops up in Cardiff with new showroom concept

Brings latest product collections closer to customers in Wales and the South West

Global carpet tile manufacturer Interface is preparing to create a stir on Cardiff’s high street with its latest business innovation – a pop-up showroom that opens today.  Over the next three months, customers will be able to visit the showroom in the Castle Arcade, known for its unique, independent shops and businesses, to see the company’s latest product collections and sustainability services in situ and attend a series of events.

The showroom has been styled as a quirky and contemporary office space, carpeted with the latest ranges from Interface, including the brand new bio-based Fotosfera, and kitted out with bespoke furniture and art work from partners such as Boss Design, Artworks Solutions and James Tobias.  Interface’s local customers have also played a key role in the build, with design and fit-out by Cardiff’s Office Image and flooring by Puma Floors.

Steve Hamilton, Sales and Marketing Director of Interface, says, “We can’t wait to open what will hopefully be the first of many pop-up showrooms for Interface.  The concept is unique in our industry, and rare in business-to-business, but the idea of reusing existing space fits perfectly with our Mission Zero sustainability goal and we hope it will demonstrate just how innovative and forward-thinking we are.  The ability to keep things local, so that customers don’t need to travel very far to see us, is also compelling and a key part of our business strategy.”

Interface products and services on display in the showroom will include:

  • Fotosfera: The company’s first commercial carpet tile collection made using bio-based nylon, Fotosfera marries solid environmental and socio economic credentials with good looks and high performance.
  • Metropolis: This collection is Interface at its edgiest and most striking, with atmospheric designs reflecting the mood and mystery of a brave new world.
  • TacTiles™: A new innovation in flooring installation, TacTiles™ does away with the need for glue, providing a quicker, cleaner and more sustainable way of fitting carpet tiles.

The showroom will also host a series of seminars and events, providing a varied programme of education, entertainment and networking for customers and prospects, with highlights including a CPD on Biomimicry and nature-inspired design, a fine food evening and a speed networking event.
