The prestigious Stafford Hotel London has been the latest recipient of a top quality hygienic flooring system thanks to experts at Resin Surfaces Limited and Resintek Services Ltd.
The leading resin flooring manufacturers and experienced installers joined forces to supply a bespoke commercial flooring solution to a new state-of-the-art kitchen installation in the luxury, five star hotel.
Tucked away in the heart of historic St James, The Stafford London is close to some of the capital’s best known landmarks and is considered one of the city’s most sophisticated and elegant hotels.
Working to a brief from Harrogate-based Commercial Kitchen Design (CKD), RSL and Resintek installed 275sq metres of Resuthane™ TG69 and c 280 linear metres of coving.
Resuthane™ is a heavy duty, food-grade flooring system, providing seamless, textured, non-slip and non-taint properties that are ideal for food preparation areas.
The flooring also had to be aesthetically-pleasing in look and finish in keeping with the modern kitchen fit out and be easy to clean and maintain.
Martin Wroe, RSL’s Commercial Director, said Resuthane™ has always delivered in commercial kitchen environments. “It has become the flooring solution of choice for many installers as it offers a slip-resistant finish and looks good – ideal for prestige buildings like the Stafford.”
Grant Machen, from installers Resintek, added: “We had just a short timescale to get the job done, including some challenging prep work to grind off and level existing tiles beforehand. But the finish is really good.”
John Partridge of CKD said he was delighted with the results. “This was a complex eight-week project to completely refurbish the kitchen.
All parties played their role in the project ensuring the resin flooring solution in the kitchen met all the requirements and was installed without delay to a specific brief.”
Established in 1982, RSL is a specialist manufacturer of resin floor and wall finishes and part of the Sherwin Williams Company.
It supplies solutions to a variety of sectors as well as hospitality, including industrial, retail, aerospace, food and drink, pharmaceutical and healthcare.
