FeRFA Training update

Following the success of the pilot scheme, we are now seeking suitable candidates for the next intake for the NVQ L6.

The start date for the next programme is 20th and 21st July and FeRFA has been allocated a number of places on this.   There is an employer contribution of just £800 for the scheme, which is excellent value to achieve this degree level qualification.

The 12 month programme involves off the job training workshops together with distance/elearning.  Suitable candidates must have either achieved or be working towards the SMSTS.

For more details on training programme content and grant funding available, contact FeRFA on 01252 714250.

We would like to run an NVQ3 course starting summer but this is entirely dependent on getting enough numbers to make it viable. If you have any suitable candidates ready to take the next step in their career path, please get in contact with FeRFA for full details on the course.

It is 10 day course which takes three months and consists of 9 Modules (which are taken over 10 days as off-site training). It aims to raise the general standards of supervisors and equips them to deal with the increasing documentation and awareness involving safety and other legislation.

The cost per candidate is £2120 for the courses and £400 towards their students Level 3 NVQ Diploma, and a CITB grant is available of £1950. This includes all the training plus food and accommodation for the training days.

This course meets all the requirements of the UKCG Training Standards for Supervisors. There is a deduction available for any candidate who has already completed the SMSTS course (within 2 years of starting this training).

To book a place on the next course please call FeRFA on 01252 714250.

FeRFA members recently took part in one-day upskilling training on Surface Preparation to Receive Resin Flooring at Preparation Group’s custom-built training facility in Lincoln. Working with small groups, Trainer Stephen Walker, was able to give the delegates plenty of hands-on experience in using a variety of machines and techniques during the course of the day.
