Bostik Subfloor System for High Profile London Development
A system of subfloor preparation products from Bostik has been used at a prestigious new residential development in central London. The Cheval Three Quays contains 159 luxury apartments and penthouses, situated next to the Tower of London alongside the River Thames. As you would expect from a high-end development in the centre of London, owner Cheval Residences has employed the services of top architectural and interior designers, as well as accommodating a number of retail outlets to help give the vicinity a new lease of life.
Rees Flooring were contracted with fitting flooring throughout this high profile 12,000m2 development, and relied on Bostik to provide a system of subfloor preparation products. This included Screedmaster Rapid DPM, Screedmaster Universal Primer and Screedmaster Smooth self-levelling compound. Selecting a system of products from one supplier allowed Rees to be sure of product compatibility and provided a single point of contact for technical support – both highly important factors when working in the pressured, “time is money” world of London property development.

Dry in up to one hour, it is ideal for projects where a high quality DPM needs to be installed in a short timeframe. Bostik Screedmaster Universal Primer is a solvent-free acrylic dispersion primer for use with the full range of Screedmaster self-levelling smoothing compounds. Bostik Screedmaster Smooth is a single-part, high strength cementitious underlayment designed for projects where a very smooth surface needs to be achieved. It can be applied either by trowel or mortar screw pump.
