Become a B&Q Homefit Approved Tradesman

B&Q is looking for NSCC Specialist Contractors to become B&Q Homefit Approved Tradesmen in a number of trades across the UK in order to provide a full installation service on its range of products.

With householders increasingly looking for reputable tradesmen to undertake work on their homes, often because they cannot or should not be ‘doing it themselves’, B&Q is working in partnership with NSCC to grow its Homefit service. As NSCC Specialist Contractors already meet the recognised standard for their sector, they can apply to become a B&Q Homefit Approved Tradesman via a streamlined application process. B&Q Homefit Approved Tradesmen are also endorsed by the Which? Trusted Traders scheme, providing added reassurance to householders about the quality of tradesmen undertaking their projects.

B&Q is keen to provide good regional coverage and a high level of consumer choice for this service and is prioritising NSCC Specialist Contractors who undertake electrical, painting and decorating, plumbing and heating, or tiling and flooring work in the following locations:

• Home Counties – Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent, South London and Sussex
• North East – South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire
• North West – Cumbria and Lancaster
• South West – Cornwall and Dorset
• Wales – Cardigan and Pembroke
• Northern Ireland
• Isle of Man
• Isle of Wight.

There is no application fee for the B&Q Homefit service. Agreed price schedules are provided for each type of installation and work is allocated through an online installer diary. Payments for work are made by B&Q within 30 days and no retention is withheld.

With more and more Specialist Contractors joining a trade association to differentiate themselves from their non-member competitors and win more work, this is a unique opportunity for NSCC Specialist Contractors to grow their customer base.

NSCC Specialist Contractors can apply to become a Homefit Approved Tradesman by completing the application form and organising a site visit with a B&Q representative. Full details of what is involved can be found in the application process.
