It’s easy to see why there has been such an increase in popularity of Chevrons with this fantastic installation.
The project was for a private client in Brighton who chose Prime Grade 100% FSC European Oak Chevrons and Flooring Planks.
We were selected as the supplier because we offer consistency in quality and colour across several different flooring formats.
This is why the design team chose us as the supplier as they demanded a seamless transition from one format to another throughout the entire house.
Every aspect of this project is Truly Bespoke.
The Chevrons were manufactured to a certain length to have little or no cutting on the border row.
The 52 curved stair treads were cut onsite from our 20x400mm Prime Grade Oak planks, sent back to Wood Floors and Accessories for finishing and then installed as a pre-finished element.
The chosen colour was our BF941 Dark Smoked, which we applied to the three different floors at our facility in Essex.
Once we produced the floor, it was then expertly installed by Andy Bendall and the team from AJB Flooring Ltd.
The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is some of the best I’ve seen in over ten years.
All stair treads and risers were cut onsite, and every piece was scribed individually to achieve a 3mm shadow gap.
