2ps in a pod! – Father and son duo use Gradus Grip to make floor out of coppers.
Dominic Lowe and son, Jon, are using 2p coins to tile their garage floor and have chosen ultra-strong Gradus Grip to secure them in place.
The duo will lay a total of 33,700 coins, worth £674, to create the bespoke 5m x 5m floor at Dominic’s home in Somerset.
Dominic Lowe said: “I’m just a DIYer but I have a friend who is a flooring expert so I consulted him before starting the project.
He said to forget anything else because Gradus Grip was definitely the right adhesive for the job. I went to his local supplier to get some and the rest is history.
“Gradus Grip has worked a treat, it bites right into the screed and the strength grows with every coin. If you want to move one, you have to move them all!”
Chloe Taylor, Gradus Marketing Product Manager, comments: “Gradus Grip has excellent gap filling properties and is highly versatile, but we usually see it being used for bonding stair edgings or floor trims rather than garage floors.
‘“When we first heard about this project we were blown away by the commitment and have sent some free tubes of Gradus Grip to help the pair complete the rest of the mammoth project.
“We wish Dom and Jon the best of luck and look forward to seeing the finished result.”
Gradus Grip saves time and money by offering a quick and easy installation – delivering an ultra-strong bond, with curing time from as little as an hour.
