Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Flooring
Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, a specialist Flooring Contractor to the Blue Chip Retail Fit Out Sector of Commercial Flooring with their impressive growth plans and as part of this we are seeking an experienced Assistant Contract / Project Manager to help with the day to day running of contracts on behalf of our clients Oxfordshire based Head Office.
The company, a Family run and orientated Commercial Flooring Contractors based in the heart of the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire are rightly proud of their reputation for providing excellent service and wonderful finishes for their prestigious client base within the Retail and Commercial sector. They Serve clients nationwide but with a particular leaning towards London and the South East. Ambitious and managed growth plans are in place and the company need more project management level staff to help build the business.
The role is to offer effective management of Projects, attending Site, ensuring that Materials and Manpower arrive as required and that the work is completed on time and to the required high standards of finish. The role will involve attending the Office regularly in Oxfordshire so ideally you will be resident within the area.
Briefly You Will.
•Be an experienced Flooring Professional, Ideally with relevant experience of the Commercial / Retail Fit-Out Flooring sector.
•Ideally you will already be a Flooring Project Manager, Site Supervisor / Manager, Fitter or Estimator.
•Capable and knowledgeable of all types of Flooring and their fitting.
•Confident dealing at all levels from Fitters up to Director level.
•Hold an SSTS or Similar Safety Certificate or be prepared to undergo training to obtain one.
•Able to deal with pressurised situations and deliver excellent results every time.
•Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
•Clean License.
•Excellent Presentation and Time Keeping.
•Willing to take on your own workload quickly and effectively.
•Happy to develop skills on the job and attend training as required.

This role is initially to work closely with one of the Company Directors with a view to developing into an independent Project Manager in due course, it is therefore a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fitter / Estimator who is looking for a move into a Project / Contract Management Role.
Salary will be negotiable but competitive for the right candidate (c£28 – £32k to start).
