NSCC Annual Lunch to Showcase Fair Payment Campaign Success

NSCC will be celebrating five years of success for the Fair Payment Campaign at its 2012 Annual Lunch on Wednesday 21 November at the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) on London’s Pall Mall.
Since its launch in 2007, the award-winning Fair Payment Campaign has successfully changed legislation, transformed best practice and empowered Specialist Contractors to insist on fair payment and the event will showcase the progress that has been made. NSCC’s Fair Payment Champions will be specially recognised at the event, including Government officials, clients, main contractors and Specialist Contractors who have made a difference to payment practices within the industry.
The champagne reception and 3-course lunch, which is being supported by B&CE, Bridge Insurance, CITB-ConstructionSkills, CSCS, Safety Services (UK) and Wedlake Bell, will be attended by over 175 guests from across the construction supply chain who will hear from guest speaker John McCarthy, the journalist, writer and broadcaster, on his experiences during his 5-year captivity in Lebanon.
NSCC President Kevin Louch said:
“The NSCC Annual Lunch provides a unique opportunity to recognise the achievements of the Fair Payment Campaign which has done so much to help the supply chain improve their chances of getting paid on time. NSCC is committed to working collaboratively to make a difference within the industry and we are looking forward to paying tribute to our Fair Payment Champions who have led the way with their commitment to fair payment.”
The Annual Lunch will be preceded by the 2012 NSCC Ltd AGM where NSCC members will hear from Bibby Financial Services on alternative sources of funding available to Specialist Contractors.

Places at the NSCC Annual Lunch on 21 November, which cost £85.00 + VAT, can be booked by completing the NSCC Annual Lunch – Booking Form
