Cormar Carpets has continued its run of industry accolades by winning two independent retail buying group awards in quick succession – Flooring One’s ‘Supplier of the Year’, followed by the Metro Group ‘Flooring Supplier of the Year’.
Recognising the company’s high quality products, quality and service, Cormar won the Metro Group’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ for the 13th consecutive year – an accomplishment no other company has achieved before.
The award was announced at the group’s annual AGM dinner held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Birmingham.
Cormar Carpet’s western regional sales manager, Roger Clarke, who retires at the end of this year, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
He said: “Having worked closely with the Metro Group for over three decades it’s a great honour to receive this award. I remember winning the award 13 years ago and I can tell you that the pleasure in receiving it does not diminish!”
Won for the eighth time, the Flooring One award was also presented to Roger Clarke, at the Buying Group Show held at Flooring One’s head office in Solihull.
It recognises first class delivery, performance, product quality, response to quality issues, communication, sales support and representation.
At both events Roger Clarke was also given special recognition for his contribution to the Metro and Flooring One Groups, who he has worked with for 30 years.
Cormar continues to produce all its carpet ranges from its two production sites near Bury in Lancashire.
It also has its own fleet of 70 distribution vehicles to ensure a top class delivery service to customers, as well as its own team of 20 sales representatives throughout Britain and Ireland.
Cormar Carpets is one of the UK’s most successful independent carpet producers with some one million people a year buying a Cormar carpet.
